Bet more post-flop ($5.50-7)

He may have drawn out with 89s (very possible hand).

He is deep (4 buyin stack), how weak-tight is just calling and re-evaluating on the river because if you shove I don't think he calls with anything you beat unless he turned a set with 77?

It's possible that our villain has floated the flop on you because of the small size of your bet on the flop relative to the pot. He may have placed you on a c-bet and is trying to bump you off your hand because of the potential that 9 8 hit. He may also have a weird two pair here, so I wouldn't immediately jump to the conclusion that he has a straight. If anything, he is trying to overrepresent the straight. A call would be a weak play here, so I'd likely go all in. Shove, holla.

You probably have to call. He could have two pair or worse set. I doubt he has JJ, b/c he would've raised PF.
