Re: NL25 - KK gets bet into with A on flop
I appreciate the advice everyone... my thinking was that his flop bet (less than half the pot) could be an attempt to pick up the pot if he had something like JJ/QQ, or he might have a scared ace, and if he had anything less than AK he'd have a hard time calling a reraise. I never really considered calling here b/c I figured I'd basically be telling him I didn't have an ace, but wasn't sure if he had one either.
I think the problem with my large PFR is that it made the pot so big any bet and raise after the flop would leave me committed. Even a min raise would have left me around $13 in a $27 pot (if he just called), so if I was going to raise, I figured it should be a push. Anyway, I pushed and he called showing AT for top 2 pair. That left me wondering if the push would have gotten him to fold had he flopped TP w/ten kicker instead of top 2. But given the fact that he called the large 3 bet PF and led into the flop, I should have figured he was committed to the hand either way. In hindsight, although there were a few better hands I may have gotten to fold, there really aren't any worse hands I'm getting to call.
Thanks.
