Re: $50NL- Best way to play this set
hm. i really put villain here on AQ with A spades, AKspades, AKo with ace or king spades, or kk or aa with a or k of spades.
I might have pushed the flop, thinking that villain does not reraise here with a made flush, rather he is trying to protect his hand. (unless flush is very low ie 7 high or something - but a read on his hand like that would depend on his previous CO raising range.) this may be incorrect, but i would push for value here (turn), assuming i hadnt already pushed flop (to preven killing action on a possible spade turn) |

Re: $50NL- Best way to play this set
wait? fold this turn? the only thing that's changed from the flop is that now J9 beats you. I'd be pushing on the flop. Sure, he could have a flush, in which case, hope that the board pairs and u'll win 35% of the time. But alot of the time he'll be doing this with something like AQ with the ace of spades and your 70% to win. Assuming he has the flush half the time, and the pair + flushdraw the other half, it's +EV to call.

Re: $50NL- Best way to play this set
Shove flop, I would only call to c/r AI on turn but I'm not sure it's that much of a good idea on this board.

Re: $50NL- Best way to play this set
Shove the flop. Calling flop raise to c/r AI on turn is not so good on this board. As played, shove over the turn bet.

Re: $50NL- Best way to play this set
When you're talking about pushing all in... pushing all in after the 14$ raise right ? Because right on the flop, there is only a 8$ pot. Well, it not that bad but 4 player in.

Re: $50NL- Best way to play this set
Yeah, shove the flop over his raise. I really doubt he flopped the flush (A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Qx come to mind). If he DID flop the flush, you have a chance to fill up.

Dont forget that with a set you have a chance on third to improve to a full house...
