Have Explorer 7 window only shows1/3 on my 17" monitor how to expand?

Hi all,
I recently upgraded my web browser to microsoft Explorer 7... when I try to open another window, the new window only shows about 1/4 to 1/3 of my 17" monitor's screen, I have to use the restore box(middle box of the 3 boxes (dash- double box..and X) in the upper right of my screen to expand the new window.
sometimes I am not aware that a new window is open as it only shows 1/4 of my screen..it is annoying

...is there a quick fix to use?
