Default 55 from SB 5/10 Turn Ace

5/10 6 max absolute.

Folded to me in SB I have 55 and raise.

BB 3 Bets. I call.

Flop 2, 3, K rainbow. I check. BB bets. I raise. He calls.

Turn A, complete rainbow. I????

Thoughts on flop c/r? Plan on turn?

Do you have any notes or stats on this villain? Against an unknown...

I think preflop is good.

Personally, I would have probably called the flop. I think the check-raise is good.

As played, I think you should bet the turn trying to take it down there and fold to a raise. However, I think you'll have a bit of a problem if he calls the turn and a non-5, non-4 hits the river.

I don't think he can fold to a turn raise with likely 6 outs getting 8 to 1 plus implied. I would check/call the turn and check/fold the river UI.

C/R the turn. Build on your previous action and rep the AA, KK, AK triad. A good bluff is not the action of one street--it is the summation of all the action that has taken place up to that point. Any show of weakness now and you'll have to rely on your draw to win.

Thoughts on flop? B/F would have been a lot less expensive and risky.

I think there are a number of hands within an unknown's range which we are beating. Also, I think getting an opponent off a better hand is part of the reason we would follow up the flop check-raise with a bet on the turn...
