UTG is raising the turn because you "obviously wouldn't have bet the flop when you flopped trips." He's got something like 66 and is trying to push you off of your K7o by representing the turn.

I think you call down the turn here because villian will cap if he actually has a Queen (or 44/77) but will possibly fold with less of a hand.

What to do about the river? Bet/fold seems wrong. Bet/call doesn't do you any good (might as well have 3-bet the turn). Check/call might work out as you're still unlikely to get called by a worse hand.

Thoughts?

I was out of town for a few days -- but I did question my river line on this, as well. If I flat call and donk the river, paying off a raise there, I'm paying 4 bets on the turn and river and screwing up a free showdown play, if he's making it (and might get a call anyway). If I 3-bet and get capped and pay off a river bet, I'm winning seldomly and paying 5 bets to show it down. Now, if I 3-bang it and he calls and raises the river, I'm still paying 5 bets to show down... and I'm not sure my hand is good enough where it's still good on the 5th bet between the streets.

Similar hand last night at the Bike (4/8):
First hand at the table, no reads at all,
BB I get K9o and check my option, about 6 to the flop.
Flop is 239r, I bet out, get 4-5 callers.
Turn is K, no flush draws, I bet out, get raised by and EP player (young Asian guy, if that matters). Everyone between us folds and I call, planning to donk the river.

Pretty sure it's not the best plan, but I'm not totally sold on the 3-bet+call down if capped here either, for the reasons above.
