This is fine. This all gets more interesting if he is an SSNLer and loves checking TP. You check again on the turn, so he has to bet it himself, riv he takes a thin valuebet/fold line. SSNLer shows QK.

Just like light 3-betting took over the games, and 4-betting became the new 3-betting, checking the flop with TP takes over. Soon we all start checking the turn as not to be obvious. Before you know it every hand is either:

CO raises to 4BB, SB raises to 16BB, CO raises to 50BB, SB goes all-in for 100BB, CO calls.

or

CO raises to 4BB, SB calls.

Flop
SB checks, CO checks

Turn
SB checks, CO checks,

River
SB bets overbets to 20BB, CO calls because he underepped his hand

I am gonna get ahead of the game and start checking behind on the riv with monsters because no one will expect it!

Nice when you flop a straight the very next hand, albeit a flush on the board with which you have none of ..

ummm . .. no top pair. 2nd pair w/a bad kicker against a relatively tight player that called your raise pre suggesting a relatively strong hand. you need precisely a 9 and a 10 river for a straight.. 3 betting and cr'ings AI here is a nice and ez way to get yourself stacked against anything opponents calling with.
