Zelda: Twilight Princess on Gamecube vs. Wii
I haven't gotten ahold of a Wii yet. I do have a Gamecube that mostly collects dust. Should I buy the new Zelda for GC, or is it worth the wait to play it on the Wii?

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess on Gamecube vs. Wii
The thing I've heard that I really don't like about the Wii version is that the entire world is mirrored. Hyrule was supposed to be reminiscent of the Hyrule from Ocarina of Time, but now it's reversed. They did this because of the right-handed/left-handed problem (Link is a leftie) and the Wii controller.

[/ QUOTE ] From what I understand the mirror thing doesn't have anything to do with Hyrule looking like the Hyrule from Ocarina of Time, it's just that to accomdate the Wii controls Twilight Princess on the Wii is a mirrored version of Twilight Princess of the Gamecube. This means that it'd be weird to play it on the Gamecube and then play it on the Wii later, but it shouldn't make playing any single one less enjoyable. That said the Wii controls are sweet, and I imagine it's a decent bit better than the Gamecube version. Try to get the Wii, but if you can't the Gamecube version should still be pretty solid. |
