So I guess I should go with a 4 angle approach of flossing, brushing, waterpik and mouthwash.

I don't mind flossing with the Reach a few times a week.

And yea, gum health is really important. I'd like to keep my healthy mouth for my whole life.

If you follow that approach, you'll be doing better than probably 99% of us, and be darn glad you did.

I have terrible problems with wax in my ears. I figure one of these could take care of that. When the nurse cleans my ears out, she just uses a squeeze bottle. How's a waterpik that much different?

does anybody actually floss anymore? i can't think of anyone that i know for a fact does

[/ QUOTE ]

I do, daily. Of course I'm married to a dental hygienist. Not flossing is asking for trouble, and really painful visits to the dentist office.

I was never able to get that to work. Maybe I just don't have much built up ear wax (unlikely since I've used q-tips my whole life and never had a successful cleansing like that), but it seems more likely that I was just doing something wrong.

Remember, using q-tips will give you venereal disease.

Work great for me too. Maybe once I hit 80, that will change.

I tried doing that also. It didn't seem to do much different than water. I think I'd rather just use the listerine separately.

BTW, I had pesto linguini for dinner. Waterpik was awesome after that. Tons of green stuff.
