Best sports book on the Vegas strip?
What is the best sports book on the Vegas strip? I am not interested in the best lines, I am interested in comfort. Thanks guys.

Re: Best sports book on the Vegas strip?
The newest ones at the most lavish hotels seem to be. I like the Venetian because of the way they set up their screens, and the fact that is isn't cramped at all. Bellagio and Wynn are both very nice as well.
Off-strip, far to the west in Summerlin is the Red Rock, which is very nice. They have a "gallery" type of seating area with individual flat screen TVs plus a view of the main screens. It is quite comfortable. Best looking cocktail babes are at Wynn, hands down! But of course YMMV. bill c |

Thanks, Bill I appreciate the help. I will try the Venetian as I am staying across the street at the Mirage from the 16th-21st. I wanted to watch the Patriots game on Sunday morning.

Re: Best sports book on the Vegas strip?
If your idea of "comfort" involves a few complimentary beverages, the Hilton's the best in that regards. It's not strictly on the strip but it's very close.
Otherwise I agree with the suggestion of the Wynn. The chairs there are extremely comfortable, and there's a little restaurant right next to it that serves burgers and sandwiches and such where you can still see the TV's from the restaurant. |

Re: Best sports book on the Vegas strip?
some friends and i stayed at the wynn last year during week 3 of the nfl season. we were all fired up and ready for a big sunday at the sportsbook. well, we were astonished at the set-up of horse racing/football. horse racing dominated the book in terms of screens, while all the people watching football were cramped into the restaurant mentioned earlier and the small space of seating earmarked for "non horse racing". it was truly a brutal experience for an nfl fan. how can horse racing take priority over the nfl??

how can horse racing take priority over the nfl?? [/ QUOTE ] the hold is 3-4x higher, and they turn the money over every few minutes if simulcasting multiple tracks, 7 days a week, noon to midnight. NFL games are once a week, 3 hours a match. there's no comparison whatsoever. |

Horse players get better treatment everywhere; that's not exclusive to the Wynn. Try getting a free drink with a sports betting ticket vs a horse ticket and compare your results.

how can horse racing take priority over the nfl?? [/ QUOTE ] There are more events in a month of horse racing than there are in a decade of the NFL and the house edge is significantly higher. |
