Re: $11s - 63o Call to team up with big stack?
If hero had between 921-999 chips (max = SB + BB + 2ante), I would call anytime.
You want SB out because next hand you are all-in. ============= In the OP case, my range would be: JJ-AA, AQs+,AKo. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] 63 isn't even close. Depending on ranges it's probably at least -0.46%. [/ QUOTE ] yeah, i'm just curious as to what we can call with here. It should be fairly wide unless I'm completely misreading the HH. JJ-AA, AQs+,AKo. [/ QUOTE ] Is my thinking off here or is this way too tight? We have the sb covered. A third of our chips are already in the pot. If we fold and sb wins, we only have 900 left after posting the sb next hand and the BB is the next smallest stack with over 2400. So basically we can either play this pot where we don't even need to win it as long as the sb doesn't beat both us, and if we do win it is around a 4500 chip pot. Or we can be forced to win with some random hand next time with only 1200 chips left and winning still doesn't mean we make the money. |

Re: $11s - 63o Call to team up with big stack?
Misread the hand and tought about another hand... SB is probably not going all in without an overcard. And i suspect Button is doing so with 22+, A6+, KT+,QT+
Probably my range would be: TT+, ATs+, AJo, KJs+, KQo |

Re: $11s - 63o Call to team up with big stack?
Ok, i finally got home and was able to look at this one in sngwiz. If the bigstack is pushing really tight (15%) which doesn't make any sense, and the sb is also calling fairly tight (20%), this is probably worst case scenario for us and we should still call with 40% of our hands.
Using more reasonable ranges such as 85% for the button and 25% for the sb we should be calling with 85% of our hands and 63 is just barely a fold. This is very close to a "call any two" situation since the bigstack really should be pushing any two and the looser his range is the more hands we should be calling with. Assumiing this all looks good I think I haven't completely lost my mind. |
