Monotone flop and river fold
WPEX 1/2 6-max
I am new to the table and have no read on villain except that he has not played a hand in my first two orbits. CO raises and I call in BB w/ K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Flop (4.5 SB): A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check and call. Turn (3.25 BB): J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I check and call. River (5.25 BB): 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check and fold. |

Re: Monotone flop and river fold
Some players would bet KhQh on this river and some would bet TT too, and we don't know anything about Villain except that he seems tight. So I would probably call, annoyed while I was doing it because Villain does most likely have an ace.

Agree with Nick. Flop/Turn play look good to me.

WA/WB right? C/c C/c B/f [/ QUOTE ] Not really. KJ, QJ, JT are certainly in his range. This is WPEX, so heck J9 and J8 probably are as well. Pocket pairs down to 55. I c/c this river and if he is a typical WPEXer I expect to take it a bit better than 1 in 6. I don't b/f this river - if I am not folding I want a showdown. I don't want to put myself in a situation where I may be folding a hand that is good to typically very aggresive opponents. Just check calling keeps you from being outplayed on the river. |
