what did you put the villian on?
with a flop like that, the villian could have 87 of clubs. he would have been drawing the nut straight flush with two of those cards, cutting your outs down to 7. it probably would've been better to keep the CO in the hand to hold up your ever so slight pot equity in this case.

Re: what did you put the villian on?
thanks for the responses. I have no idea why I called the river as I knew I was beaten. It's things like that that really annoy me about the way I play at the moment. I can read all the theory in the world but until I cut out the stupid calls I'll be leaking money all over.

Thats why I'm playing nanos until I can rid myself of these leaks. |

Re: what did you put the villian on?
you're on a flush draw with a couple of overcards....if the guy has the flush (which is a definite possibility since he 3-bets the preflop raiser)...you
have 9 outs.....if he doesn't have the flush 3-betting is possibly indicating more than a pair....in that case also your overcards are no good....so when CO folds, there is just two of you.....you have a probability of about 1/3 to hit your flush by the river......so every dollar you put in means you will get back on average 2/3 of a dollar....thus capping the flop was a bad bet. |

Re: Chasing the nut flush - AKo
*grunch*
I like the flop raise since you've got a player caught in between, but the flop cap is just spewing. You're 2:1 to make your flush (there's a good chance that your overcards are no good and offer no redraws) so you need another player in the mix to make this a bet for value. |

Re: Chasing the nut flush - AKo
I wouldn't have capped the flop, nor would I have called it in the end.

Re: Chasing the nut flush - AKo
can not cap the flop with these limits. no one will fold for another bet. i call down to the river most it will cost is another 20 cents
