Razz-Too aggressive
I'm seeing a lot of aggressive play at 3rd and 4th street and I don't think it's correct. Nothing wrong with raising at 3rd street to steal antes and the bring in, but anything can happen at the later streets. The game is very different than Hold'em but people are playing it aggressively like 6-max LHE. Are you guys seeing the same thing?

Re: Razz-Too aggressive
You're right, passive play is the key to winning. What is your screenname/site? You know, so I can, like, stay away from your tables.

I personally have been noticing on FTP HORSE games that people will reraise in razz at seemingly poor times...lets say I raise with a 6 showing and then it gets repopped by an 8 who keeps betting the whole way even though my hand is improving and his isn't....that happens a lot. It's like people play with blinders on. |

Re: Razz-Too aggressive
In general, the play on 3rd street is excessively loose/passive.
What I notice is that on 4th and 5th street people will bet or raise with slight edges when often check/calling is better. Sometimes by betting a slight edge you give your opponents information as to what your cards are. Also, a lot of people will raise when they just paired but they could be ahead if they had perfect cards. Often they will then take the lead in betting all the way after this. Sometimes you can get an opponent to fold or you can draw out. However, a lot of times it is better to fold here or call and see if you catch bad good and your opponent catches bad. The aggressive approach here is often chip spewing. |
