100NL Villian Pushes our VB when flush hits on Pairing River
Hey all,
Posting this hand for a friend, we both felt that this is an easy call on the river; But were looking for some input from more experienced SSNL's (UTG and CO were both notorious limp/folders hence the raise OOB's preflop). Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $15.90 UTG+1: $64.90 CO: $27.80 Button: $98.50 Hero: $201.65 BB: $100 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, Button folds, Hero raises to $5, BB calls, UTG folds, CO calls. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($16, 3 players) Hero bets $10, BB calls, CO folds. Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($36, 2 players) Hero checks, BB checks. River: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($36, 2 players) Hero bets $23, BB raises all-in $85, Hero calls??????? Results: Final pot: $206 *** Edit was just the title because I put C/R in title even though we were first to act on river |

Re: 100NL Villian C/R ALL-IN when flush hits on Pairing River
Well, I think the board pairing here is of minimal concern. He's bluffing the flush sometimes. But, mostly he's gonna have the flush here. Sometimes it'll be higher than yours. Sometimes it'll be lower than yours. Call and find out.

Re: 100NL Villian C/R ALL-IN when flush hits on Pairing River
Yup, call. He's not likely to have a boat with an A since he checked behind on turn. All worse flushes and maybe some naked A's are making this bet, and you're getting better than 2:1. You're losing to slowplayed sets, but still an instacall.
