Re: 10/20 NL at the Bellagio
If you call the turn raise and move in on a non board pairing heart, will he lay down? I'd at least call and re-evaluate on the river, with the intent of bluffing the heart all in if checked to.

Re: 10/20 NL at the Bellagio
Live people are pretty big nits (especially judging by the smaller details you've mentioned). I think you hear from A5 on the flop (with straight + flush draws this guy raises on the flop) so effectively all you're beating is a one pair hand and some semi-bluff hands that DIDN'T c/r the flop.
Against a relative unknown with what you know (he's been winning past week, he seems tight) I would fold here fairly quick, and I'm a big station. |

Re: 10/20 NL at the Bellagio
Close call, but looks like a fold. If his range is somewhat reasonable, JJ,AJs,A5s,A8s, you're at 36% of the equity.
If you let him play 88 and 55 this way, you're at 28%. If he is tricky and plays JhTh, 6h5h this way, you're at 40%. |

Re: 10/20 NL at the Bellagio
This really does seem like a fold, and I'm probably more station-esque than most of the posters on this forum. I think you have defined your hand as AK-type pretty well at this point and he's saying he's got that beat, and most of the hands that beat AK beat A8 there as well. A fold looks good.

Without a read on the opponent I can't say with certainty what I'd do here but I would definitely think long and hard about my decision. [/ QUOTE ] I took around 3-4 minutes before I made my decision, the guys at the bellagio were actually cool enough not to call the clock on me, so I really appreciated it. I agree with Raptor, in the fact that online, no way I fold this. I push...but while playing live I just found everyone to be way nittier and way less aggressive with their draws. When I got it all in on the flop with a pair and flush draw vs. an "obvious" overpair everyone was like ZOMG, that kid is crazy. Anyways, I folded the hand, and the guy didn't show. The 1 player in the game I thought was better than me, discussed the hand with me. He said that the guy was a "nit" and it was a good laydown. Turns out after another 2 hours of playing vs. him he was a SUPER NIT! My guess, and the other good players guess, was that he had JJ. |

c/c JJ against a preflop raiser on an A85 board is supremely nitty? [/ QUOTE ] not reraising pf vs. a steal raise I think kind of is. Also it was heads up to the flop....so not like I was c-betting 3 or 4 way u know. Also not like I raised UTG and we saw the flop heads up UTG vs. SB...it was CO vs. SB. But then again, I did post this hand cause I wasn't sure...if you think I'm missing something please help me out...I'm still sort of confused on this hand, and I've been thinking about it for 3 days now. |
