Ok, I'm in the black, but I don't expect to stay there just yet. For those who asked, I'm in at 403.

Default What is Fair Value for GOOG?

I sure don't know. We can infer a few things about growth required for 90+ PE stock like GOOG. Of course 90+ seems ridiculous. Just wondering what others think about what the approximate PE (just using PE as a yardstick) of GOOG should be.

The problem with GOOG earnings is not the tax accounting, as pundits claim.

It's the incredibly high and unrealistic expectations that have become built into the share price and the essence of owning this emotionally overdone stock.

GOOG off another 5% this morning. Pity.

I'm up ~10%, but we're not done yet.

Of course, I'm living in stark fear that if google invents the everlasting gobstopper, it could go to eleventy gazillion.

Google market cap is 100 billion. The everlasting gobstopper, if sold for a $10 profit to everyone in the world, would generate $65 billion of earnings.

I think that's optimistic, since it's a terrible product. An executive at GE once told me that their everlasting lightbulbs won't sell for $15. Your fear seems to be unfounded.
