I only watched the first episode, but it seemed nothing like 24 to me. Yet I keep hearing this from fans of the show, so does it become more 24-esque?

there is really nothing like this show....so i think its ofetn compared to 24. its really nothing like it as far as i can tell. i have only watched 3 or 4 episodes of 24. But if you can make it thru the first episode and not want to watch the rest probably not your thing. i hated 24 but loved this show

I don't have the channel it is on, otherwise I would've kept watching. First episode was pretty good. But yeah, better than 24?? ERROR CANNOT COMPUTE!!

For something to be better than 24 it would literally have to be created by God Himself. And if I'm following the show correctly Jack Bauer is God, so that possibility is unacceptable.

I don't watch 24, so I don't want to comment on that aspect.

I watched the season premeire, and I like it, but I worry it might not have the same pull the first season did. I honestly thought they would go to a different undercover, but they're back with Darwin. Anyway, it's hard to say whether this season will be awesome or just ok based on the first episode since a lot of it was just set up about what will happen. Darwin is basically made the leader of a Sleeper Cell, though, and it has a lot of interesting implications.

Anyway, I would say watch it and expect for it to get much more interesting as the story becomes fleshed out. I honestly thought that Farik wouldn't be in the second season, but the scenes of his imprisonment and interrogation were the best of the first episode. I've loved Oded Fehr (the actor who plays Farik) since The Mummy, because he was such a badass and Farik turns out to be a huge badass yet again.

As long as the writers can keep the story from getting too contrived, I think the second season could turn out far better than the first.
