Default NY Chips

Hello all,

Can anybody point me in the direction of a shop that sells chips in Manhatten?

Many thanks in advance, WD

I don't know if you're the same person who recently asked about this over on CT, but...

There really isn't a good place selling chips in the city. Blatt's Billiards, right below Union Square, has mostly 11.5g slugged chips and at outrageous prices. Minnesota Fats, which used to carry a couple different lines of chips, has closed (and even then, their prices were at least double what you'd find on line). There are a couple 'gaming' stores (that mostly cater to the RPG folks) that also carry chips, but again almost entirely 11.5g abs/slugged chips.

Check out chiptalk.net (if you haven't already) to learn a bit about what's out there. Your best bet is going to be to order from online. If you're travelling in to NYC you could even have something sent to your hotel.

Oh, and sorry for being a nit, but it's Manhattan.

Cheers.

Hi thanks for the reply. I should have got the spelling right after all it is what is on my birth certificate!

I am visiting and thought there might be a good place to buy as the dollar is so weak against the pound (visiting from UK). But looks like I will stick to online. Just fancied supporting a bricks and mortar shop.

Thanks again

and it wasnt me on CT.

and as an add on to the original post, any good home games that welcome out of towners. I am not visiting for a couple of months yet but would be interested in a game while I am there.

All the best WD

Why not order on-line and have them shipped to the US address that you will be visiting. Then you can take them home with you to avoid the high shipping costs to the UK.
