PT on new comp
I just got a new computer and my old computer is hooked up through the same wireless router, so I was wondering if it's possible to just "drag"(for lack of a better term)my databases from one computer to the other? Or what is the simplest way to do this? I have about 7 databases on my old computer so it's alot. Thanks in advance for any suggestions/help.

Re: PT on new comp
Back up each database through the PT inteface; then drag the backup files to the new computer; then restore each database through the PT interface.
Of course you will need to install PT on the new machine. Send email to PT support to transfer the license. I think you will need your original registration number I just upgraded my computer a few months ago and did the same thing. Hopefully you got a fast machine with Core 2 Duo chips. |

Re: PT on new comp
If you winzip them they'll be 1/10 the size.

Re: PT on new comp
Blainstar,
Run Postgres DB on one of the two computers (probably best to use the one you will be playing on the least) Point PokerTracker on the other one to the PostgresDB across the network. Maintaining only one Postgres database will be much easier in the long run, and probably give better performance. Just dont have both computers importing at the same time - recepie for disaster doing this. dave. |
