Default 10/20, TP getting action

Okay, so my opponent in this hand is Pokergirl from Ladbrokes (Morten Erlandsen). He used to be the very king of Ladbrokes, but I think he's been running cold for quite a while and is now grinding it back. He's TAGish but makes moves. The hand is played at BossMedia.

At the time the hand is played, I'm stuck like 20K, but since he left action at the 25/50 table and just came to the 10/20 table, I'm not sure he knows this. He probably reckons me as a decent NLHE short-handed player, but I'm not certain. He has been playing fairly tight, especially out of position, given the game is 3handed.

3-way, I have 2700, he covers.

I make it 80 from the button with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], he calls fra SB and BB folds.

Flop: K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (Pot: 180)

He checks, I bet 140, he makes it 480, I call.

Turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (Pot: 1140)

He bets 900, I shove...

Basically, my thought is, that he isn't ever playing Kx like this, and K8 and K7 aren't in his range. Hence, his range can at this point be breaken down to sets and draws and maybe 78. I know this might seem as pretty basic reasoning, but given the effective potodds, I can't really figure out whether this is just a tilted move after a night of serious beating, or it actually makes perfekt sence and is pretty standard.

why couldn't he be playing a better Kx like this?

honestly if you think he's that weak postflop (i.e. his range is limited and he's not outright bluffing enough % of the time) I would just fold flop.

If you call flop that turn play with that perfect turn card is pretty standard I think.

FWIW, I rarely can make ballsey pushes like this online. Face to face I at least have a read to go by.

I suspect you are behind more than 70% of the time given the action.

Expect you saw two pair, or even worse a turned set.

Pokergirl_ ;-)

It's not always him, who plays the account - yesterday it was, tho.

Well, he has a tendency to check-raise flop w/ a semi-weak K, and check/fold to further action if he doesn't pair his kicker. His check-raise on the flop doesn't narrow down his range that much - his turnbet does, though.

I think it's really rare that he's just on a stonecold in this spot. He's almost always more like "bluffing when checked to" etc.

A turned set? Meaning 222?

I think you need to make very thin everything (calls/shoves/bets) to do well in the current 10/20 NLHE shorthanded online.

You say he's TAG-ish, why even give him action with such a mediocre hand?

Ehh, this hand is tough to dissect without knowing how he views you, and how he thinks you view him, etc. etc.

If he's TAG-ish, I think you have to fold.

I think he would play AK KQ just like this fwiw. And alot of guys like to flat call with straight draws these days I find. Wtv, its not horrible, but really not a good spot.
