Default Four-Card Double Draw - anyone hear of it?

I found a book on the New Releases page at the Gambler's Book Club website.

http://www.gamblersbook.com/pages/modify/newbooks.stm

Scroll down to the titles released between Oct. 6-9, 2006. A book by Jim Man called "Four-Card Double Draw". Apparently, Mr. Man invented this game & wrote the first book on its strategy. How convenient!

Has anyone heard of this game? Played it? Is this a common thing - for people to invent poker variations & then write strategy guides on them?

It sounds like something I'd do. I can't resist stuff like this, but $10 for 20 stapled pages? The next time somebody on this board is in Vegas, wander by the GBC, read the pamphlet and report back to us.
