also, an easy example would have been to assume the rate was 2c, and that he used 100kb.
'2 x 100 = 200. but obviously this does not mean that i owe 200 dollars, rather 200 cents!' his 0.01 x 100 example was pretty terrible and he seemed to just abandon it as it reached its point. |

I have verizon. I couldn't help myself from emailing customer service with a link to the youtube with a note saying "please tell me someone had to go into an office to be told how dumb they are for having this conversation". Waiting to see if they reply.

Unbelievable. There is no way I could be that calm and patient. I was getting angry just listening to it. Dude might have done a better job explaining it to them by not bringing up the "one one thousandth of a dollar" nonsense, support reps just aren't intelligent enough for advanced calculus like that.
He should have explained the cents to dollar conversion first. 1 cent = $0.01 therefore 0.002 cents = $.00002, and go from there. |

Everyone saying this:
[ QUOTE ] 1 cent = $0.01 therefore 0.002 cents = $.00002, and go from there. [/ QUOTE ] is not listening properly. Don't you guys remember? - So 1 dollar is different than 1 cent, yes? - Yes - So half a dollar is different than half a cent, yes? - Yes - So .002 dollars is different than .002 cents, yes? - No How do you get them to do the conversion? They'll just say 'No, sir, it already gives you the amount in dollars!' |

This is one of the funniest things I've listened to in forever. These people are amazingly retarded.

My favorite lines:
[ QUOTE ] Dude: ".002 cents is different than .002 dollars." Girl: "Well, I mean it's obviously a difference of opinion." [/ QUOTE ] OMG if only I could use that for all cell phone bills. "You're charging me $50 a month? In my opinion, I'm going to pay 50 cents." That recording put me on life tilt. |

[/ QUOTE ] or do the rate in megabytes, although having to do 2 conversions might cause the entire company to shut down |
