100NL live flopped trips in limped pot
Game is a homegame at my school that I play in pretty regularly (1/week or so). 100NL, .50/1 blinds. I have never played with villain before, so he is new to the game. He seems tight. I don't think he's shown down a hand yet. I assume he's a standard weak-tight freshman.
My image might have been a bit weak, if he was paying attention. I had folded to a couple of check raises when I whiffed on the flop. I hadn't really shown anything down though either. Hero has ~100, Villian covers Comments on all streets appreciated. Thanks! Hero is dealt J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the SB. 3 limps, 4 folds. Villain (button) calls $1. Hero (SB) calls .50. BB checks. FLOP (6 players, $6): 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets $5, 4 folds, Villain calls $5. TURN: (2 players, $16): 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets $9, Villain raises to $25, Hero calls $16. RIVER (2 players, $66) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero bets $25 (~30 behind) |

Re: 100NL live flopped trips in limped pot
If you're sure he's weak-tight, then you've got to fold the turn. River bet looks pretty good. It's small enough that he'll want to look you up with a flush.

Fold the turn??? Consider folding preflop IMO although most complete there. Didnt run into Ah Tx did you?

Re: 100NL live flopped trips in limped pot
I normally slow down with trips on a turn board like this.
I'd check the turn... as played call behind. however i'd check the river too since i'd be concerned villain had a T. |
