The Goldeneye thread got me thinking about how good the battle against Trevelyan on the Cradle is. What are your favourite boss battles? Judge by any criteria you like(original, tricky, fun, difficult). Please don't mention anything about the new Zelda.
One of the best I think is the fight against The End in Metal Gear Solid 3. It's completely unique, there is so much freedom of movement and choice of tactics. It feels very tense too, and the amount of time it takes gives a real sense of the psychological battle between two snipers. |

Ninja Gaiden on the XBox - all of the bosses. They are all so challenging and each require very different strategies. Very fun. Panzeer Dragoon also had some very tough and fun boss battles.

Mike Tyson is the clear winner. Beating him was a deed of legendary proportions back in elementary school.

I haven't played many games all the way through. But General Raam in Gears of War gave me lots of trouble and it felt great to finally take him down.
Back when I played WoW, taking down the bosses in Molten Core felt awesome too. You really had to plan it and get 40 people to work together. |
