"how in the hell is crimes and misdemeanors similar to match point?"

man kills his lover he's having an affair with. crimes is way overrated btw. it's slow and there's not much going on. but i dont like movies about killing people so im biased in a way most people arent.

This does seem a little odd, not least because it seems to lock out such a vast swath of movies of all types, including those in which killing is nothing like celebrated.

Are you particularly religous perhaps? Otherwise I wonder where such a blanket qualifier for movies would come from.

Purple Rose of Cairo is way way way underated, as is A Mid Summer Night's Sex Comedy.

Match Point is a less good Crimes and Misdemeanors

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed.

Crimes and Misdemeanors is one of my all-time favorite movies. It raises a lot of profound questions about morality and should not be missed. It also has a very funny subplot involving Woody Allen's character.
