Fencing...anyone?

Always wanted to take up fencing, think it is a cool sport. Anyone on OOT fence, how long, opinions on it? Suggestions for academy or studio in LA would be nice.

check out "sword-play" in Burbank, CA.

they do fencing classes and also swordsmanship for actors. If they don't have what you need, they can definately refer you to a standard/traditional academy.

WHOA GUYS SORRY.

Whew.

I fence at Beverly Hills Fencers' Club in (?) Culver City. If you're interested in saber, and you probably have no idea if you are or not, it seems pretty solid. But I would recommend a bigger three-weapon place for you to try things out and see what you like to do. Are you a student? Your university club might be ideal. If not, I'll look into it.
