Your poll is like asking if everyone thinks there should be world peace.

Sure, but how could you achieve it?

There is no world jurisdiction and a BBB for gaming for the types of issues you are discussing is a bit farfetched.

For those advocating giving a percentage of rake for a regulatory body, meh, i dunno.

Over time my percentage of rake will outweigh whatever it is I keep online, and thereby risk if something goes wrong.

BM,

Crap, now what will we argue about?

Sniper,

Yeah, I made this type of argument in the long eric thread now locked.

WD,

Why doesn't every site act as pokerspot did? Because it's not a good business strategy. Boyd passed up millions in potential profits just in that site, and now has no chance at every being trusted ever again. He also has to always keep eyes in the back of his head for those who lost out.

Its only a thought greg, you are right and I doubt that these online companies could ever be regulated, but it certainly wouldn't be a bad idea. This thread is just for thoughts on whether it would be a good thing or not in the players opinions.

If there ever was to be one setup it would really have to be initiated vountarily by the sites themselves.

I am also sure that there would be other ways to fund the project, rake was just an idea I had heard.
