I obviously know what Standard Deviation is and how it relates in conjunction with your mean win rate (i.e. mean +/- 1/2/3 SD's). I have aware that 5-10 ptBB/100 is a decent win rate.
Now obviously everybodies game is different, but just out of interest I was wondering what range of SD's seems reasonable. I am trying to get a handle on this stat, in the same way as ppl have give very general ranges on ptBB/100, VPIP and Pre-Flop raise. Currently my win rate over past 10k hands (i know this is a small sample and I have run good) is 13ptBB/100 and SD is 30 ptBB/100 playing exclusively 6-max. Just looking for some input on this. |

Depth, opponent proclivities, and personal style will all play role in what kind of SD you can expect.
From what I remember of playing micro-NL in fairly live games my SD was like 60 PTBB/100 or so. From what I remember from people posting about their experiences w/ Ed's SS strategy, many of them were as low as 25 PTBB/100. In more typical scenarios it seems most player's SD is in the 30-50PTBB/100 range. |
