The purpose of calling is of course to collaborate with BB to bust the button.

I would have to have a strong read that the BB would collaborate in order to do this.

even if he does not collaborate, and we get all-in on flop/turn/river, it is not so bad either, as long as it is not the worst case of shorty>BB>Hero.

Edited: I should have mentioned in my open post that this is not an icm question.

I call and co-operate all day. Your goal is to make it into the money at this point. Calling will help you do that. A9 isn't exactly invincible.

Calling is a bad decision, in my opinion. A call is essentially half your stack -- will you then fold to a push from the BB? If not, you might as well get it in there up front and hope he doesn't have a big hand.

Shortstack has a pretty wide range with only two BBs left, so there is no way I am folding A9 here.

Push all the way.

Push this ish. You dont care if the BB calls your all in bc the short stack would have to beat both of you.

You obv have the best hand now, and when you knock him out, you will have a nice stack going ITM.

I like a call at first glance, but it just seems so exploitable, you HATE to have BB push after you just call. I probably push because of that. BB can also make things really tough for you if he isn't interested in just checking down.
