Villain is multi-tabling TAG.

His flop lead seems very strange to me. Never seen him do that and it reeked of a bet-3bet. |

I really hope your floats are not 55% of the pot all the time. Your floats need to look exactly like your value bets (which should be 75%-100% of the pot on the turn).
I would also raise the flop, as $8 leads into the PFR in a $17 pot are very rarely strong hands. |

This is a very weird play... I usually raise the flop bet then fold to a 3 bet. It keeps things straight forward and easy. After he checks the turn I would think he is drawing much of the time, that is, until he c/rs.
I probably fold here without a better read. Also, bet more on the turn. It works as a combo play. You bluff weak queens, and charge draws. |

Fold. Probably a bluff 15% of time.

Raise flop or bet more on the turn, and I definately dont hate checking behind on this turn. It will induce river bluffs, and keep the pot small with your 2nd pair. You're only getting one street of value in a hand like this, so it might as well be the river so you can get to showdown.
As played, fold the turn. |

[/ QUOTE ] At first I thought this made sense... but what hand is going to call a river bet that we beat? Maybe TT? I don't think we can bet the river, so our play would have to induce a bluff most of the time to make the same as if we bet the turn. And by checking we also represent our hand as weak, and villian is more likely to play correctly (ie. value bet a weak Q). I know this means it may induce more bluffs, but we can make more by betting the turn. Betting the turn charges draws and may get a weak queen to fold. Since it costs about the same as calling a river bet, and it charges draws, I think it is a superior play. |

i donīt think he has a Q, with wich Q would a TAG call another TAG UTG raiser in the BB ? Imo the only hands he can make this play with are combodraws, maaybe the nfd and ofc 99,77. I think, like OP, that he tried to b/3b the flop. I give up on the flop a good portion of the time, if he is aggresive and draws are a big part of his range, bet like 28$ on the turn .. ?

Meh, I would check turn alot. I don't really agree w. all the raise flop advice, we have a decent hand that can easily hit showdown. If its a pure bluff, fine, but I would rather raise the flop w. air/weak hand like 33 that has little showdown value than JJ.
