"Standard" Pre-Flop raise? (1-2 NL)

In unopened pots in late position and on the button I generally raise to $6 regardless of my hand (sometimes i'll limp). In early to mid position, I raise to $7. Is this not enough?

my standard is 8 + 2/limper regrdless of position, i dont limp.
