I've got 3 editions of this movie ond DVD. The original 2 disc Limited edition, MGM Directors cut and the Anchor Bay Theatrical version. Yes I'm a geek.

The only version worth buying is the Necromicon edition with the flesh bounded dvd case.

I saw this movie in a packed theater when it first came out and I had no idea what it was. I have never seen people having a better time in the theater until I saw borat. completely awesome.

Pfft, I scoff at your ignorance sir . Thats the box set of all three films. And while the case is nice the versions of the movies you get in that box set is not (aside from ED2). The Evil dead 1 DVD is a horrid cropped and chopped transfer of the original. Evil dead 2 DVD is done really well. But on the Army of darkness DVD you're only getting the one version instead of both the theatrical and Directors cuts not to mention the deleted scenes, that you can get on the previous stand alone releases. I think I just had a geekgasm.
