I like Wish You Were Here best - maybe because I've heard dark side so much?

My list:

Wish
Dark side
Wall

I don't know what's worse; the fact that you lumped piper in with syd barret woo, or that I'm the only one that voted for that entire category

Am I the only one who thinks
Dark Side Of The Moon is overrated?

Great album, but not even close to Wish You Were Here.

I voted Animals first, followed by Wish then Dark Side. Meddle also has some great stuff.

David Gilmore one of my all time favorite guitar players. I love his playing on Pigs. ha ha, charade you are.

Good poll.

Animals, but WYWH, DSOTM, and The Wall are masterpieces as well. Meddle is pretty good too I heard. Uh, I guess what I am trying to say is Pink Floyd pretty much owns everything when it comes to music.

meh, WYWH > DSOTM and it's not very close IMO.

I echo steamraise's comments.

Is it weird I love the Division Bell and I voted for it?

Also where is Piper at the Gates of Dawn?

[/ QUOTE ]

weird that it's your favorite, but DB is the only "underrated" Floyd album. I think it's great, especially High Hopes and A Great Day For Freedom. What Do You Want From Me is one of my favorite angry, bitter songs.

The Final Cut is my favorite album by Pink Floyd, and they my favorite band. It's close with all the albums though, I do not really rate any album as much higher than any of the others, they are all great to listen to. If I could only listen to one the rest of my life it would probably be The Wall.

This is a much better poll than the best song list, they are much more of an album band, and you pretty much need to listen to the songs within the context of each album to appreciate them.

What does it mean if I voted Atom Heart Mother?

The albums I'm very familiar with of those listed are Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Atom Heart Mother, Dark Side of the Moon, and Wish You Were Here. Of these albums, I enjoy the instrumental pieces of Atom the most (and Summer '68), but fervently enjoy the other three, they are awesome albums. I haven't heard Animals or The Wall more than 5 or 6 times each so I can't vote for them, especially since I'd have listened to them more if they'd left a good first impression.
