this is horrible

that is not a good card to bluff bc its an obvious card to bluff and bc so many hands need to peel

the pot is 5sb when u decide to bluff-call the flop. it looks like ur planning to put in 7 sb to win that with no outs. thats not the best plan

Interesting play, although if we get to the river, that card is really going to play a role in its effectiveness. We're hoping he just folds to our raise, but if villian has a big club, he's definitely going to stick around getting what I calculated to be 6:1? The river is then a b/f on any non-club.

I think I like a fold on the turn.

well if you keep putting in more and more bets it becomes more betterer to try and win the damn thing on the next street. the float call to bluff-raise the turn might be okay against a button or SB raise, but not an EP raiser.

Yup. In addition, if he's decent, he knows that most TAGs will c/r 4F and any pair and most of the time a K on the flop. Thus, u shouldn't have any of these. Thus, u're FOS a good % of the time.

hmm. alright.

I was actually the villain in this hand, and I would have folded my A9noclubhaving hand if the real villain had checkraised.

So that makes me wonder if I should fold my no draw having ace on a checkraise in that spot or not. My thought is that folding would be correct there, even though my opponent checkraising a bluff doesn't seem to be. (or probably because of that fact).

With that said, what hands do checkraise me there? Is it always a made hand?

I don't like your play here, but I think Villain is either bet/folding or calling down most of the time. Not sure what that analysis is worth, other than I would often give up on the river. After he bets this turn I don't see this being a very +EV bluff.

Oh and fold preflop.

I would like it much better in position, since TAGs like to take b/f lines more than others, and he's hard-pressed to 3bet anything other than a K even if he's "certain" you're semi-bluffing.

If I was in position here with A9 no club I'd only bet if I was planning to call down a c/r, otherwise I check behind and call any non-club/5/8 river.

Sparky,

You don't think his hand is good enough to defend an UTG open 5-ways?
