100$ NL Stars nice board for a straight
Villian is 46/2/2.6 and somewhat tricky, seen him min checkraise KTs on a T84 board and push the turn in a rr pot. I tangled with him in a couple of small pots, but had to fold mostly since i didnt hit a flop in 1,5 hours. Now this hand comes up ... does anyone call or push, and whats the plan for the river if i just call

folds.
nh anyone switch into c/c mode vs this type of player (one whom you deem capable of using the scare card) on this turn? |

Uhm, given your read I think this is a push. He can have 2140048 2 pair combos that you have crushed.

Re: 100$ NL Stars nice board for a straight
Call, check-call river. If he bets hard enough on the river so that he'll be committed to call with things like one pair, you can consider shoving. (EDIT: Went back and look at the stacks. This describes pretty much any bet.) It is certainly possible that he has the goods here, but if he's tricky enough he could do this with a wide range of hands. It would be a good way to slow you down if he wanted to show down one pair, for example.
(MORE EDIT: The one tricky issue is if a 4th spade comes, but I think that you'll pick up plenty of equity from letting him fire again at it to make up for that. Against a player this aggressive you probably have to bite the bullet and call at that point even if another spade comes.) |

Re: 100$ NL Stars nice board for a straight
okay, so folding is bad (i'm playing/posting terribly tonight), but how do you rate the check/call check/call to keep the pot small and induce bluffs from this guy?
pushing here feels to me like super tiltmonkey spewage. |

Re: 100$ NL Stars nice board for a straight
I thought, like pointed out, that alot of 1 pair, air, 2 pair etc. is in his range as well as the flush, so folding wasnīt an option yet. He didnīt exactely call off his money often though (his wts was about 17 over ~110 hands), so i thought calling will slow him down and mayybe induce bluffs on the river.
This river was kinda cool though ...
