Thinking about taking in the Emerald Bowl (Go Bruins!) and a side trip to the wine country Dec 27-29th. Is it a good time to go? Too cold? Wineries open? Too many tourists? I have no idea what to expect. I know there are some Napa and Sonoma experts in OOT, so I'm looking for some advice.
Thanks. |

Too cold? Haha. The wineries are open year round and this time of year is less crowded. There's plenty of info on the web(Napavalley.com and other sites) and I'm sure others will chime in. Definitely go.

It is cold as hell there but wine tasting is always fun. Oh and I'll also be going to the Emerald bowl too, and only for 10 dollars (cuz i'm a bruin myself holla!)
i realize "cold as hell" is an oxymoron. =/ |

But I'm sure it will be back to normal by the end of the month. |

I went a few years ago during early january. Weather was chilly, but not bad. All of the tours, etc were open and basically no crowds.
