Wow, I always pusk AK here at the tens. Would any of your decisions change at the tens? So the correct move is to fold in these spots? At what blind level does it become a shove ott? If ever? [/ QUOTE ] Assuming you are familiar with ICM and the concept of not going broke without a significant edge early, you can see the detailed analysis in my post above. It depends on opponent, not buyin, although of course players tend to be looser in the lower buyins. You can modify the analysis as necessary for other blind levels. In general AK is a poor hand to go broke with early, although there are exceptions vs. known maniacs. You are on the wrong side of a coinflip vs. any pocket pair (i.e. the underdog), and this happens way too often, because donkeys never fold a pair. |

Re: ($27 turbo) AK
Yeah, I think this is a fold. Here is a question for you Durron, would he fold JJ to a push cause if he does then PUSH it. Also, any read whether he ever min raises with AA (but raises 3x with JJ,QQ for info).
For some reason, the fact that you have like 400 behind if you lose makes me much more likely to push. I don't know if that is a bad reason, prolly is. Also, if either was short, like 1000 chips or lower, then pot odds would be better and I would push all day every day. |
