I cant open my iPod nano!!!

I just got an iPod nano shipped to me in the mail. It is brand new and still in a solid plastic container that I have spent 20 minutes trying to open the thing and nothing is working. I know... I'm an idiot. What should I do to get this thing open???

Just be careful not to scratch it.
