Re: [3/6] AKo vs. odd line
Only going to get called or 3-bet by better hands. Not going to fold much you beat. Worse hands will bluff the river though if you just call.

Re: [3/6] AKo vs. odd line
I would just call the river. It's possible you induced a bluff by checking the turn, but I can't see BB calling with anything you can beat.

Re: [3/6] AKo vs. odd line
reads?
Against a TAGish type you can value bet the river if he calls the turn. If he 3-bets then you got owned. |

Re: [3/6] AKo vs. odd line
Are you advocating value betting the river UI if this "TAG" player just calls your turn raise?
I mean I understand why, I just don't think I could do it. |

Re: [3/6] AKo vs. odd line
i've actually used this line HU w/position on similar boards with lots of pp's. like 66-AA. not often, but when the situation arises as a change of pace from the norm and a little "wtf" factor too. it's usually someone i've played with alot or have played with for a while in the session, though.

Re: [3/6] AKo vs. odd line
This play has merit if 1) he will fold another AK or 2) he is weak tight and will lay down a PP like 99 or TT because he's "sure" you slowplayed a big pp preflop or have 88 or 77. In any other situation, he will probably fold if he is bluffing or call if he isn't. For most players those conditions do not hold true to I like calling turn and river better to pick off bluffs. Not sure what his 3-bet PF/check flop means besides UI overs but he might've wanted to c/r flop.
