planned on c/r ai riv. turn c/c im curious about too.
villain is parlay slow from 2p2. hes a very good player, but i havent seen him get too out of line today. hes 30/28 when running good 24/20 when running bad. hes running bad. ive probably been more out of line than he has. Re: interesting hand
the hand is fine on the river - it obviously doesn't look like you can beat trips, and he may very well be bluffing (i think you see bluff or full house here, with a bluff way more likely than a full house, but never just plain trips with the river bet)
the turn is pretty sketchy. you don't have implied odds. i think a lead or c/r (or c/f) is way better than a c/c, UNLESS you plan on making a bluff on the river. but bluffing OOP in a hand like this after you c/c the turn usually amounts to spew. |

Re: interesting hand
In my experience, when good players do this they're often hoping you have a big J and will call because they have better. I don't see a reason for him to be bluffing so large and I don't see him doing it with a worse hand than yours

Re: interesting hand
I think river is unlikely to be a bluff on this board, but he could be value-betting AJ or KJ thin because of the line you took. The likelyhood of him being full by the river depends mostly on how trigger-happy he thinks you are with your second barrels vs. him.
Turn call is marginal and for it to be good you need to be ready to represent either spades or diamonds on the river since you're not getting paid off everytime you hit your own outs. I like check-raising river, and I would also call his push. |

Re: interesting hand
kratz if he was bluffing why wouldn't he bet 200-250? Unless there's some kind of nth level thinking going on here between hero/villain. I've always found these bets are hoping to be called

Re: interesting hand
you guys need to think about what parlay can have given flop/turn action, and also about what parlay is thinking jfish can have

Re: interesting hand
It's not a good call if it's purely to draw so OP needs to think he can extract value out of (some of) the times he misses. It's mostly dubious here quite honestly but sometimes there are good enough reasons to call.
