Hypothetical
6-handed, you open AQo UTG. 40/15/1 button coldcalls, as does a 50/20/1.5 SB and a 30/20/2 BB.
Flop 873r. Checked to you, you bet. All call. Checked to you on turn. What non-A, non-Q cards are you betting, if any? How would your answer change if the flop were 662r, or J43 two tone (of which you have none), or 567r? If you choose to check, what is your plan if button bets in these scenarios given a.) one or two callers, or b.) folded to you? |

Re: Hypothetical
I'd bet any 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 on the turn.
On 662: I'd bet almost every turn card. J43: I'd bet almost none except maybe another jack. 567: I'd bet a 2 and a board pairing card. If I check and button bets I call one bet almost despite anything else unless its the 567 board and it puts up a straightening card. -DeathDonkey |

Re: Hypothetical
4 ways but two of our villains have no semblance of preflop strategy and the 3rd has stats that suggest these boards miss him. Also the guys who are like 40/15 will not charge us appropriately so the bet isn't as bad as it would be against an aggro lagtag 40/30 type.

I seriously doubt based on previous equitysims that 3 villains, all of whom check-called on a 873 flop, will be behind AQo significantly enough for you to bet the turn on a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 turn. I think you're probably just taking the 'keep betting until they tell you not to' strategy which, IMO, kinda sucks. I'll run the #s on stove later and see if my suspicions are confirmed. BTW, I think betting the 765 flop to begin with might be bad; it really depends on how often the villains checkraise here but you're praying that basically one has KQ, the other has JT, and the other has a dominated Ace that doesn't have a middling kicker. I wouldn´t bet flop 4-ways... [/ QUOTE ] Me either. I'd bet the 662 flop and might followup on the turn, though. Surf |
