Triple-Draw High?
Maybe file this under stupid questions, but is there a reason why there's no such thing as triple-draw high, or triple-draw high-low split? Would either game be any good?

Re: Triple-Draw High?
Played TD high in homegames. We thought it was pretty boring. High / low split with declare was better.

Re: Triple-Draw High?
Declare seems kind of odd in a closed-form game.

Re: Triple-Draw High?
Planet Poker spread double-draw high once upon a time. It was a crappy game and I suspect triple-draw for high would be even worse. It nits up even worse than regular 5CD (and I'm a 5CD fan!) unless you have total suckers-sort of like that silly Royal Holdem game at UB that was all the rage for a few days until all the 2p2ers multitabled it and drove away the guys who thought broadway was a good hand.

Re: Triple-Draw High?
I always thought that a triple draw game of A-5 hilo or badugi+a-5/2-7 split would be an interesting game.

Re: Triple-Draw High?
Someone on 2p2 or RGP commented that Triple-Draw high with deuces wild was a decent home game. I dealt some hands by myself and figured it could be okay, but starting with 22X (especially when X is a big card) is too big an advantage. It's not hard to make quads, and when you have the deuces I think you really have your opponents crippled. But if you modify it a little, and have 2's OR 3's wild (but not both for a single player) it gets better. Having 2's AND 3's wild is just too much.
Striaght-up triple-draw high doesn't seem interesting. I have never played any of these variations, however. |

Re: Triple-Draw High?
Are there any online games that use either wild cards or jokers?
