Attn Health Nuts: A question about calcium
Turns out I get a mild allergic reaction to milk, which is pretty much my only daily source of calcium.
Other than supplement pills, what are some good natural (low fat, if not fat free) sources of calcium? Somehow milk derived products like cheese don't really make me flare up, but I'd really like to avoid eating a pound of cheese every day to make up for the calcium deficit. Any suggestions? |

Dark leafy greens. Spinach, kale, collard greens, etc.

I'be been in asia for a while, and it's really odd how they drink close to no milk .... like ever. I don't get how they can still have any bones.

Sounds like broccoli is a good food. Tofu, turnip greens, kale, sardines, and salmon are good too. The site says sardines in oil and canned salmon, but I would think the fresh kinds would work too. |
