Re: Bribe for a room upgrade
$40 at Luxor got me an upgrade to a jacuzzi suite for 2 nights even though they were "sold out" of them.
This past weekend I was rejected for $20 at the Golden Nugget on a Friday night. It might have had something to do with the fact that I didn't even have a reservation (long story). I then went over to Binion's and tried it. The front desk lady took the $20 and said "A suite..." and then started typing on the computer. Next thing she said was "Ok you be in room 1128." When I got up to the room the key would not open the door. I went back down and got a new key. A bit of a hassle, but I figured I was getting a suite so it was worth it. I finally got the door open and, alas, it was a regular room. Pwned. Side note (off topic): I had never stayed at Binion's before, but I noticed that the windows open completely. Bad idea? |
