Absolutely. I tried it at MGM and probably got an even crappier room than normal. He had no problem stashing the $20 and answering yes to my request for an upgrade, though!

First and last time I'll try the upgrade trick.

I tried it at both mgm and mirage a couple weeks ago and failed both times. they didn't mention that the rooms were comped, and both times they were doing that airport-counterperson-furious-typing thing that they usually do.

Im thinking of trying it at teh Taj this weekend ( exchanging a Fri for a Sat for like 50 bucks)...

By the way to the do liek a head count when you enter cause im bringing like 6 people at least for 1 room

i wouldn't show up at the counter with more than 1 person with you. most hotels charge more per person in a room w/a max of 4 or 5, so i wouldn't advertise you'll have that many people in your room. only downside is that they will probably only give you 2 keys.

You thing it would work with a 50 in the Taj...from a Fri night comped to a Sat night comped...
