Thank you all for your responses. Villain had QJo. I think you guys are right that I should have folded the flop. Also seems like folding pre-flop wouldn't be so bad, as evidenced by the fact that I could get exactly the kind of flop I am hoping for (an open-ended straight) and still have to let it go.

Also, 67o is severely dominated? I'd think A7 is severely dominated, and while I'm not planning on running through 5 people with a pair of 6's, worrying about an oft-played better 6 (or 7 or whatever) seems a little far-fetched to me.

When you hold the bottom end or middle of a straight; you are dominated.

I'd fold the flop when it's two back - first, it can be raised again. Second, spiking a nine will be death if someone has QJ. Third, some of your outs may be tainted if a flush draw is out which seems likely. Fourth, you must adjust implied odds downward because it can be raised again. Fifth, a hand like J10 or whatever will have a redraw if you spike the high end of the straight. Just too many negatives..

Joe T. has taken the Tommy mantra to the max. Tommy's the man, but I don't think folding that hand for 1/2 a SB in a likely 6 way pot can be justified.

Of course, but can we really start relying on reverse implied odds before we see the flop?

Then trust me, 7-high w/a 6 kicker is surely dominated.
