You could just shove all-in preflop, you likely have the best hand right now and you have opp covered. As played, I would bet the flop a bit harder, say 400 to go and shut down once he calls the flop bet.

The problem with standard raising is that if Hero has to fold after making a c-bet because opp pushes over (or calls the c-bet and pushes the turn or river), he has only 725 chips left.

If you don't want to push just check behind pf. While you're probably a head at this point your hand really isn't that great. A standard raise is practically never going to take it down here unless you have some read so you're basically just bloating the pot. You're getting a free flop here, just take it. This way if you hit the ace you've got a good chance to get paid by a worse hand. And if you miss and you're checked to you can take a shot for only 100 instead of 300. If you miss and he bets out well you've invested nothing so it's no big deal to let it go.

Push or check PF. I like push.

Anytime a PF raise and a c-bet is committing you it's best to just shove PF. The "10xBB or less" rule isn't set in stone.

I push preflop. Generally speaking if I want to raise and have less than 15XBblind I push.
