[/ QUOTE ] Yea, but especially with the rake are the 3/6-6/12 live games really worth playing? I'd say live limit really only starts getting to be meaningful around the 10/20 level and alot of these games play similar to SSHE, but at the same time HEPFAP discusses strategies that include and add those in SSHE. I don't know.. it might just be bc I'm rereading the book now, but I still say if you understand the concepts in HEPFAP you can apply them to optimumly beat any hold em game you're in.

They're not exactly 2 seperate ways to play. There is alot of crossover.
Sometimes you will be in a game where in 1 hand, SSHE applies a bit more, and in another hand HEPFAP applies. b b

I'm UTG+1 with AA and raise after UTG limps. 5 other players cold call, plus BB and UTG. (16 SB in the pot). Flop is AJ4. I bet ("If you don't bet, they can't call"). I get 7 callers. (12 BB in pot). Turn is a 5. BB bets out this time. UTG folds, and I raise. 2 more people cold call, as well as BB. ("How many of us have an Ace?"). 20 BB in the pot. River 5. I bet, 1 person folds, 1 person raises me. I raise back. He reraises me again. Like an idiot, I think "Did you just go runner runner with nothing on the flop to hit quads on me? Having seen him call with small pocket pairs on all overcard flops to hit on the turn, I think yes." I just call at 4 bets. 28 BB in the pot ($224). He shows 54 for bottom pair on flop, drawing dead with 2 pair on turn and rivering a smaller boat. I show my AA, cursing myself for giving villain too much credit. Dealer pushes me the pot, villain protests: "But I had a full house!" The rake is $4. I take in a $220 pot. The bad players making weak calls will make up for the rake.
