I'll take a blind guess here. You have AK/KQ/JJ. You should raise the flop more and get it all in on the turn. His hand range is wider including all sorts of draws. He prolly hit his flush on river.

What should I raise the flop to and why?

ez river call with such good odds then

i'd bet more like 110 on the turn though

[/ QUOTE ]

After reexamining my hand, I agreed that I should have bet more on the turn. Why do you think so, and why is $110 a good number (I was thinking more like $150)?

Since both of you are deep, go for a full PSR, 100. If you wanna control the pot w/ AK, flat call ok but it make later street harder if he gets aggressive.

A pot-sized raise on the flop would be $59.

He bet 20 into a 40 pot, u call 20 and raise the pot, which has become 80 after your call. A psb or psr always offer opponent 2:1 to call. If u raise to 60 to let him call 40 for a pot of 120, 3:1.

Ok, I see what you mean, sorry. I was more referring to the villain rather than the initial bettor, but that was wrong. If x=his bet=20, y=my bet, and z=pot after my raise, then z=2(y-20)=39+y+20 and y=99. Thanks.

It looks like he is begging for a call. I think I call with those odds and puke when he flips over a flush. He may very well have AJ though and is trying to sell the flush. Any reads on him? Does the bet look convincing?

To tomek and RiverHebrew:

Why would Villian check-call on the flop and turn with just a flush draw? Is he getting the odds to do it?
